Most of the town of Weston, Florida is an upscale "master planned" community West of Fort Lauderdale. Weston is known for its manicured boulevards, parks and downtown, Weston Town Center, known for its upscale shops and restaurants. The community, formerly known as Indian Trace, was founded in 1996.Many people may know Weston by its spokesman and most famous resident, Dan Marino. The average Weston home price is some 20 percent higher than South Florida's average. Weston is known for its low crime rate, and its highly rated Weston public schools. Its population of about 61,000 is diverse, with a Latin Flavor - it's estimated to be nearly 30 percent Hispanic.
