| Keystone Heights is located in the northeast region of Florida at the southern end of Clay County. It is one of the three largest towns in the county (with a population of only around 1,300,) and is a "commuters town," with many of the residents commuting daily to work within a fifty-mile radius of the city. Numerous lakes and reservoirs dot this area, making it ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking and camping. Lake Geneva is located to the south of Keystone Heights and the Park of the Palms just north of the city. Clay County was once a popular destination for tourists visiting from the northern states, who came for the therapeutic, warm springs and mild climate. |
