| Sebring is the county seat of Highlands County. The population was 10,076 as of 2004. Sebring is the home of the Sebring International Raceway, first used in 1950. Today it is best known as the host of the 12 Hours of Sebring, an annual race held by American Le Man Series. Another attraction in Sebring is Highlands Hammock State Park. The local print media is the News-Sun, Highlands Today, and the Tampa Tribune. Sebring has a total area of 11 square miles, of which 5.9 square miles is water. |
