Located just south of the City of Lake Wales, Highland Park is an incorporated Town, with a population of approximately 200 year-'round residents. The population grows during the cool winter months, when vacationers fill the Highland Park Inn and its Lekarica Restaurant. Highland Park is part of the Lake Wales urban area, which has grown to encompass a market-area population of 50,000 residents. Two colleges, and a number of prep and private schools are located near Highland Park, along with Lake Wales Medical Centers' large hospital, and numerous medical and nursing facilities. |
