Its area is 1,174 square miles and about 13.35% of it is water. Santa Rosa County was created in 1842, named for Rosa de Viterbo, a Roman Catholic Saint. It can be divided into South Santa Rosa, Central Santa Rosa, and North Santa Rosa. It is part of the Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area. |
